Biography

1955  Starts formal painting and sculpture education studios of the Whitechapel Art Gallery in London.

1958  Shoreditch Comprehensive School, London, which specialized in Arts and Crafts where he studies  painting and drawing, print making, ceramics, wood and metal crafts.

1962   Begins studying at Camberwell School of Art, which he chose for its excellent sculpture studio. His most valued teachers were Kim James for sculpture, Heinz Inlander, painting, Vivian Pitchforth , drawing, Michael Podro for Art History. 

1964  Visits Henry Moore at the Hoglands, Perry Green for the first time. He periodically visited Moore till 1980.

1967  Visits Hienz Inlander in Italy. Travels through Europe ending up in Israel, where he will later spend periods of his life. It is here he befriends the painter Joseph Hirsch. He studies and works in archeological restoration and exhibition design. Designs exhibition at the Israel Museum for Yehezkel Streichman, who's work he admires.

1971  Moves to The Northwest coast of America and meets painters Bill Ivey, Guy Anderson and Paul Horiuchi. Begins Studies with Northwest Native Indian carvers from the Nuu-chah-nulth people, (formerly known as Nootka.) Exhibits paintings at various galleries till 1982.

1983   Lives in Israel, exhibiting at galleries and creates a design studio for museum and gallery exhibitions and restoration projects. Regularly exhibits sculptures and paintings. Environmental sculptures and projects for Keren Kayment, Israel.

2002   Moves to Catalunya, Spain. Associated with Drapart, Barcelona, shows at galleries, project for Festambiente, Italy, teaches art and helps run an artist in residence project. Returns to ceramic sculpture working with Juanet Guardi Artigas at Gallifa. Begins to exhibit and participate in projects in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Coordinator of Projects for Artists in Residence at CeRCCa, Centre de Recerca i Creacio Casamarles,Catalunya, Spain.

2012   Moves to Netherlands and regularly exhibits sculptures. Teaches painting and sculpture.
